Ceci lives in Strachur, Argyll and is a former employee of the NP having worked from 2005-2009 as Community Liaison Officer and from 2009-2012 as a Senior Ranger. She is a member of Strachur Community Council, on the Committee for Strachur Smiddy Museum and Craft Shop, is the Secretary for Cowal Beekeepers Association and she is the only active female member of Dunoon Men’s Shed where she carries on her hobby of upholstery.
In addition to degrees in Environmental Science and Ancient Studies Ceci holds a Certificate in Permaculture Design and is a fully-qualified Funeral Celebrant. Ceci has a busy life as a self-employed Celebrant and conducts weddings, funerals and child naming ceremonies all over Scotland. In addition to this she runs her own craft company, Woollyhatz, studies permaculture, and runs ‘Ceci’s Farmlet’ with the aim of being as self-sufficient as possible.
At home Ceci keeps chickens, ducks and bees, makes beer and wine, and turns her hand to many crafts including basket making, crochet, machine knitwear, candle and jewellery making.
