Over the next five years the communities of Strathard will work together, to build a vibrant and successful community for all and you are invited to find out how you can get involved!
A double launch event in Kinlochard Village Hall and Aberfoyle Memorial Hall on Sat 24 Jun will be see local businesses, residents and stakeholders come together for a special presentation of their third Community Action Plan which represents the views, needs and wants of the Strathard Community.
Compiled by a steering group made up from local businesses champions, community interest groups, the Strathard Community Trust, Aberfoyle Village People, the Strathard Community Council with assistance from the Community Partnership this revises and replaces their previous 2008 – 2011 Community Action Plan.
A Community Voice
The Action Plan was prepared following extensive consultation with the community between September 2016 and March 2017 with a distribution of 600 surveys across the community, focus groups, an Open Day and The Shaping Strathard Roadshow which visited several locations and encouraged people to vote for the priorities and to tell us their dislikes and likes, needs and wants!
What people said about Strathard and its community:
We have the ability to change things and affect change when we put our minds to it and act as a community!
Peace and quiet, Rurality, its a great place to raise a family and retire
Need for a ‘vision’ – what kind of village do we want and how are we going to achieve it?
Making It Happen
Over the next five years the communities of Strathard have a vision and will work together, utilising their existing strengths to make it happen to develop:
