Kelly, who represents the Breadalbane area graduated from Glasgow University in 2002 with a MA in Archaeology. Kelly spent the following 11 years working in commercial field archaeology in Scotland and England – even venturing as far as France! As well as excavating and managing commercial sites, Kelly worked with several archaeological community groups based in Scotland and Northern England, which gave Kelly the taste for community development.
Kelly completed her MSc in Sustainable Rural Development through the University of the Highlands and Islands, and in 2013 moved back with her family to Scotland, to undertake a Research and Development Internship with Roxburgh Federation of Village and Community Halls, based in the Scottish Borders (where she grew up). In December 2014 Kelly joined the Strathfillan Community Development Trust as their new Development officer – a job which she is currently relishing.
This is Kelly ‘s second time as a Director on the Board, and spent some time in between as our CAP Support Worker developing Callander, Strathard, Gartmore and Brig O Turk with their community action plans. We are very excited to see Kelly back on the Community Partnership Board!
